Labor – who is
he ?
Forty years of
creativity,thoughts about art, through paintings and sculptures .teacher of
visual art,he qualified from claude bernard in paris. he began painting at17
years old . -.born on13th may,in
1937, in st denis, on the reunion island,he came to france in 1959 and after studuing mathematics , he
fell into art as one falls in love.
Art? What is it ?
This
question became then and is still a direction in his life.
From 1970 to 1980 he was a cubist,expressionist and constructionist, and
after investigating creations and discovereries, he elaborated a hybrid
art”samplings” From 1980 to 1990 the
objective was to let paintings and styles converse (in a quiet
dialogue).
What
does the art tell us? Does art give us any answers? Since the end of the 1990s
and the beginning of the year 2000, labor has been in a more serene and natural
period ,a purified, zen, almost philosophical art where writing demands a
radical appearance and concept.
